Jane Forbes and Hilary Inwood from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) provide an overview of their multi-faceted approach to infusing ESD into pre-service teacher education.

January's EASO meeting focused on ESD in Pre-Service Teacher Education. Meeting highlights included an update from OISE on their work to infuse ESD into pre-service teacher education, and a discussion with course facilitators at York University on the Environmental Science AQ.

Beth Lisser from York University highlights the three-part specialist Additional Qualification (AQ) course for educators in Enviornmental Science. York's Environmental Science AQ models pedagogically appropriate methods of teaching for sustainability.

Kathryn Cooper from the Sustainability Learning Centre presents her views on how professional development is used in the business community to promote ESD. This presentation was prepared for the EASO meeting that focused on professional development and ESD. 

The first EASO meeting of the 2011/2012 school year took place at the Earth Rangers Centre at the Kortright Centre in Woodbridge, Ontario. Thanks to the TRCA for providing this beautiful facility!
