Summary: Bill Kilburn (Back to Nature Network), Kyle Horner (Gosling Foundation) and Colin Love (Downsview Park) presented their organization’s take on the topic “What is the role and importance of nature in ESD?” Small group discussions focused on nature deficit disorder, and the importance of helping teachers to become comfortable using the local environment as a teaching tool. Members shared a wide variety of programs and resources dedicated to helping students and teachers get outside.
