Story Telling at the Intersection of Culture and Climate
RangiChangi Roots is a new grassroots organization dedicated to bridging the gap between sustainability organizations, educators, government and diverse ethno-cultural groups and communities. RangiChangi means "diverse and vibrant colurs" in Nepalese.Join RangiChangi Roots on June 22nd at 6:30pm - 9:30pm for an evening of inspiration and active citizenship. Our intention is to get people talking about:
- What we mean when we talk about environmental advocacy and taking action on global warming.
- What are our shared values, assumptions and intentions?
- What shared understanding do we want to foster?
We have invited 5 community leaders who are working on initiatives in cultural outreach and in sustainability and climate change. We think their presentations will inspire some important, thought-provoking discussions. Join us - share your perspective and help us to increase our understanding of our common concern: coming together to stop global warming. After the presentations, a facilitated group dialogue will explore emerging insights, challenges and possible actions to do with intercultural collaboration and advocacy for climate action. The evening’s facilitator will be Azmina Kassam, who participated in the launch of the UN Research Center for Expertise in Sustainability and Education. One of our aims is that at the end of the evening, participants will have a concrete challenge/action they commit to take back to their own communities.RSVP necessary: click here to register
